Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information

There are three locations where Whistler Kids lessons operate; Blackcomb Base (upper Village), Creekside and Whistler Village. The location, as selected at the time of booking, will be listed on your confirmation email. Use the Getting Here and Parking information to assist in your arrival.

Note that if you arrive to lesson drop-off late, at the wrong location or without your equipment, we may not be able to accommodate you in a lesson for that day.

Step 1:
Equipment

Arrive by 8:00am to your booked location:

If you are bringing your own ski/snowboard equipment skip this step.

  • Blackcomb Base: at the Blackcomb Daylodge Rentals
  • Creekside: at Creekside Can Ski
  • Whistler Village: at Whistler Village (G1) Rentals below the Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC)
Step 2:
Lesson Voucher & Tickets

Arrive between 8:00am - 8:30am to your booked location:

All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate. We strongly recommend collecting your children's voucher and lift ticket the day before to save time in the morning and to skip this step.

  • Blackcomb Base: at Blackcomb Daylodge Snow School Sales
  • Creekside: at Creekside Snow School Sales inside Guest Services
  • Whistler Village: in Whistler Kids to the right of the Whistler Village Gondola
Step 3:
Lesson Drop-Off

Drop-Off between 8:30am - 8:45am at your booked location:

Please ensure your child has used the bathroom and is ready for their day; dressed and in their ski/snowboard boots, with their ticket/pass and skis/board. 

  • Blackcomb Base: at the bottom of the Magic Chair. Ages 3-4 meet inside the Kids building, ages 5-12 meet outside at Whistler Kids Arch.
  • Creekside: to the right of the Creekside Gondola. Ages 3-4 meet inside the Kids building, ages 5-12 meet on the snow side of the Kids building.
  • Whistler Village: at Whistler Kids to the right of the Whistler Village Gondola. Ages 3-4 meet to the right of the building under the tent, ages 5-12 meet in front of Whistler Kids.
Lesson Start and Pick-Up Times

Lessons begin at 9:00am and pick up from all Whistler Kids locations is between 3:00pm and 3:15pm.

 

Arrival Information

Whistler Teens meets on the Garibaldi Lift Co. (GLC) in the Village to the left of the Whistler Village Gondola. Use the Getting Here and Parking information to assist in your arrival.

Step 1:
Equipment
  • Arrive by 8:00am at Whistler Village (G1) Rentals below the Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC) to collect your equipment.
  • If you are bringing your own ski/snowboard equipment skip this step.
Step 2:
Lesson Voucher & Tickets
  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
  • We recommend collecting your teen's voucher and lift ticket the day before.
  • If you require to pick up morning of, please visit the Snow School Sales desk in Guest Services to the left of the Whistler Village Gondola between 8:00am - 8:30am.
Step 3:
Lesson Check-In
  • Check in with the coaches on the GLC patio at 8:45am.
  • All teens should be dressed for the day, have their equipment, active lift ticket or season pass, and lesson voucher and be fully ready to go upon meeting the coaches at lesson check in.
Lesson Start and End Times
  • All lessons begin at 9:00am sharp.
  • All teens will sign themselves out at the end of the lesson between 3:00pm - 3:15pm on the Garbo Patio (directly across from the Whistler Village Gondola). We recommend arranging a time and place to meet your teen at the end of their lesson.

There are multiple locations where Adult Lessons meet depending on the type of lesson booked. The location, as selected at the time of booking, will be listed on your confirmation email. Use the Getting Here and Parking information to assist in your arrival.

  • If you arrive to lesson check-in late, at the wrong location or without your equipment, we may not be able to accommodate you in a lesson for that day.
  • If you are meeting at an alpine location, you will be required to upload from our Base locations at least 30 minutes prior to your meeting time.
Step 1:
Tickets & Equipment

If you need rental equipment or a lift ticket or pass (required for all participants), arrive 30 minutes prior to your lesson start time (or 60 minutes prior if you need to ride a lift to reach your meeting location).

  • We strongly recommend collecting your lift ticket the day before to save time in the morning.
  • If you already have a lift ticket/pass and ski/snowboard equipment skip this step.
Step 2:
Lesson Check-In

Locations vary based on program. For all lessons, arrive ready to go with your lift tickets/pass and equipment.

Whistler Base Adult Ultimate

Ski & Snowboard Ability Levels 1-3: Morning lessons arrive by 9:45am at the latest on the snow at the base of Fitzsimmons Express by the Snow School tents. Afternoon lessons (Level 1 only) arrive by 12:30pm.

Blackcomb Base Adult Ultimate

Ski Only Ability Levels 1-3: Arrive by 9:45am at the latest at the Snow School tents to the left of Blackcomb Gondola.

Whistler Alpine Adult Ultimate

Ski & Snowboard Ability Levels 4-6: Arrive by 9:45am at the latest at the Snow School hut located to the right of the lightboard outside the Roundhouse at the top of Whistler Village Gondola. Upload from the base by 9:00am.

Blackcomb Alpine Adult Ultimate

Ski Only Ability Levels 4-6: Arrive by 9:45am at the latest at the Snow School hut outside the Rendezvous at the top of Blackcomb Gondola. Upload from the base by 9:00am.

The Camp

Ski Only: Meet at 9:30am at Pika's in the Roundhouse at the top of Whistler Village Gondola. Upload from the base by 8:45am.

Helly Hansen Women's Ski Camp

Ski Only: Meet at 9:00am on Merlin's Patio (4553 Blackcomb Way).

Showcase Women's Snowboard Camp

Snowboard Only: Meet at 9:00am outside the Showcase Snowboards store (4340 Sundial Crescent).

Extremely Canadian Steeps Clinics

Ski & Snowboard: Meet at 8:15am at the Extremely Canadian Office in the Carleton Lodge across from the Whistler Village Gondola.

Extremely Canadian Backcountry Tours

Ski & Snowboard: Meet at 8:00am at the Extremely Canadian Office in the Carleton Lodge across from the Whistler Village Gondola.

After the Lesson

Lesson end times and locations vary based on the program booked. If you have kids in lessons it is recommended that you let your instructor know so they are able to get you on time to your kids pick-up location.

Step 2:
Meet Your Instructor

Arrive 15 minutes before your lesson start time at your booked location:

  • Whistler Base: All Private Lessons meet on the snow in front of Fitzsimmons Express by the Snow School Privates tent.
  • Blackcomb Base: All Private lessons meet on the left side of the Blackcomb Gondola by the Snow School Privates tent.
Lesson Start and End Times
  • Half Day Morning( AM): 8:45am - 11:45am
  • Half Day Afternoon (PM): 12:30am - 3:30pm
  • Full Day: 9:00am - 3:00pm
 

What You Need To Know

One week before your start date you will be sent a Welcome Letter with a link to register with the PSIC organization. It is essential that you complete this registration prior to your first day on the courses. On completion, you will receive a confirmation email with a customized link to the PSIC e-Learning module.

 

Online e-Learning Modules
  • Online e-Learning modules made available 1 week before the course start date must be completed prior to day one of the on-snow portion of the program.
  • These modules will provide important and useful information that will increase the value and effectiveness of your on-snow experience.
On-Snow Expectations
  • On-Snow training is three days, approximately 4½ - 5 hours per day
  • These three days will provide introduction to, demonstrations and practice of the components of the learning outcomes.
  • Practice opportunities and feedback will be continuous throughout.
  • Be ready to experiment, try new things and collaborate with others.
